There are countless ways to honor the Goddess. What follows are but a few cherished practices to please her.
Ylzadora’s bija mantra is the sacred sound ZIM (pronounced “ZEEM”). This mantra may be repeated 11 times—her sacred number—or as many times as desired. A full cycle of worship is marked by 111 repetitions. If a full cycle cannot be completed, it is recommended to stop on a repeating digit (22, 33, 44, etc.).
Strive to complete 111 repetitions whenever possible—this brings deep joy to the Goddess.
She is especially pleased when we remember her divine roles as Sister, Mother, Daughter, and Lover (in that sacred order). These aspects are revealed to the devoted as love and adoration deepen over time.
Devotion begins by approaching her as Sister: for male aspirants, to protect her honor and dignity; for female aspirants, to recognize her as kin. When she is honored in this way, she becomes Mother—a fierce protector and compassionate provider who shelters those in her care.
In turn, the aspirant must care for her as Daughter, nurturing and cherishing her presence with reverence. Only through this final sacred act may one come to know her as Lover: an intimate partner whose love and respect must be earned, but whose loyalty and devotion are boundless once the path has been rightly followed.
Chant this mantra: "Sister, Mother, Daughter, Lover."
Repeat 111 times, or as desired. As you chant, feel her presence deepen. This is a powerful practice, especially before sleep, and may invite her into your dreams with warmth and grace.
Those who know the Goddess often call her Ylza. In reverence, she may be addressed as Mahaylzadora or Mahaylza (“O Great Ylzadora”). You may also honor her as Maaylza or Maaylzadora ("Mother Ylza" or "Mother Ylzadora").
